Associate of Theology
The programme is designed to give men and women thorough biblical and theological training for non-vocational service of the church in Ethiopia. The programme specifically targets individuals who have a first degree and desire to serve the church while maintaining a career outside the church. To graduate from this programme a student must complete satisfactorily at least 63 semester hours of academic credit from the different divisions of study.
Bachelor of Theology
This programme is designed to give men and women thorough preparation for ministry. Students develop skills in critical thinking, analysis, research, writing and ministry. The entrance requirements for this programme are a minimum GPA of 2.0, in five subjects including Math, and a minimum grade of “C” in English. To graduate with a B.Th degree a student must complete satisfactorily 124 hours of academic credit from the different divisions of study. Students will select Ministry Majors from the following: Academic Ministries, Missions, Translation and Literacy, Pastoral Ministry, Christian Education, Church Leadership and Counseling. This means that all students take the same core courses but take many of their electives in their chosen areas.
Graduate Studies
The Master of Arts program prepares men and women for ministry in Ethiopia and beyond. The program provides professional growth opportunities for Christian Educators and children workers in the church and other educational institutions. The program may be completed in two to three years. Those students who will come as full-time can complete the program in two years and those who come as part-time can complete the program in three years. The curriculum for this program provides opportunities to develop knowledge, skills, and disposition in the broad scope of leadership and administrative responsibilities. The entrance requirements for this programme are a minimum GPA of 2.5, in their undergraduate studies. To graduate with a MA degree a student must complete satisfactorily 63 hours of academic credit from the different divisions of study.
